Comments of the Participants of the workshop

“Filmmaking for a Social Change”, was a project which bestowed me the array of experiences to acquire knowledge, from concept building to technical skills on the practical ground. I am greatly thankful to British High Commission, LIDF, Eckova Productions & every related individual involved, which made me feel proud to be a part of this project. I hope and pray that these zealous endeavours instigate progressive social change in my dear motherland, Pakistan. Saad Shakeel

Now that I am sitting in my room and thinking about last few months, it seems like some roller-coaster ride…with its own ups and downs making us laugh, cry and laugh again. The project ‘Filmmaking for Social Change’ is very special to me because of various reasons- one; I got such a big platform to voice out my opinion. Two; I made some amazing friends during this journey and three, I went to London!!! One project packed with so many favours? Still can’t believe it. Had it been my choice, I would have never wanted it to end! I would love to work again with you guys. Shall miss everyone! Safyah Usmani

From this workshop I have bagged a lot of knowledge that is really helping me now with my studies and is definitely going to help in the future as well. I think ‘Filmmaking for Social Change’ programme is a very good idea and can bring awareness around the world. Such workshops and festivals should be held so that the young talent could participate and make a difference. I would love to be a part of this kind of programme in the future. Zahra Sohail

It was one of the greatest experiences that I’ve had in my life. I miss every bit of it and wish it wouldn’t have ended but nevertheless, I would want to be a part of such projects in the future as well and just want to thank the team of BHC and LIDF for making me a part of this. Natasha Dadwani

Amazing experience where I actually got to learn something and practice it. Namrah Fareed
