Empowering the media to amplify voices for change in NWFP

The project aims to increase the capacity of FM radio stations in NWFP by training their staff on developing citizen based programming. This enables local communities to access a platform where they can voice their desire for change and demands for good governance and conflict resolution.
So far three radio stations in Charsadda and D.I. Khan have been trained. These radio stations have started broadcasting local news and audience inclusive programmes on issues of current concern in local communities. Training at another radio station in Kohat is underway.
