Passports

Standard passports are now issued via the Regional Passport Processing Centre in Hong Kong.

But you still have to apply via the High Commission in Islamabad. You should not send your applications direct to Hong Kong - they will be sent back to you and you will lose the money you spent on the courier charge.

Why have we done this? Please see this leaflet [PDF, 77.0 Kb] for all the changes related to the way we issue passports overseas.  If you need to travel urgently and your standard passport is not available we may be able to help you with emergency travel documentation:

Please call the Consular Section of the Embassy and explain that you need to travel urgently.

   

Public Notice

Customer are reminded that the British High Commission is closed on Monday 9 April.  It will re-open on Tuesday 10 April.

The Passport Office will be closed to the public and will not be receiving passport applications at the counter from Monday 23 April to Friday 27 April.  British Nationals requiring Consular Assistance should contact the Consular Assistance team as normal.  The Passport Office will re-open again on Monday 30 April.
