How we can help
The British High Commission provides all three of the essential services offered by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office: supporting the British economy, British nationals abroad, and managed migration for Britain.
Are you a British company wanting to trade with or invest in Pakistan? Or are you a Pakistani company looking to do business with the UK? If so, UK Trade & Investment can help.
The Consular Sections of the British High Commission Islamabad and the British Deputy High Commission Karachi are there to help British nationals in trouble in Pakistan. The British High Commission Islamabad can also issue passports to British nationals. Find out what the Consular section can do to help – and what it can’t do.
If you want to travel to the UK on business, to study, for tourism, or to visit friends or family, you may need a visa. You can find out whether you need a visa, and if so how to apply for one.

Support British nationals - Helping and advising British nationals abroad is one of our key services. In 2006/07 we handled 2.9m enquiries from British nationals – from lost passports to victims of sexual assaults. This was spread across our global network of 260 embassies, consulates and high commissions.
