The British Council connects people worldwide with learning opportunities and creative ideas from the UK and builds lasting relationships between the UK and other countries.

We are the UK's international organisation for educational opportunities and cultural relations and are represented in 110 countries worldwide.  We are a major channel for the UK's public diplomacy in Pakistan – putting Pakistani people in touch with people in the UK. We work for the benefit of the individual and for the mutual benefit of Britain and Pakistan.

Through seven main programmes we aim to provide young people and partners opportunities for learning, skills and positive social action that strengthen ties between Pakistan and the UK and enhance intercultural dialogue, understanding and trust.  We now offer services in seven cities in Pakistan and employ more than 200 staff members.
