Chevening

The British High Commission is compiling a short-list of nominations for the Chevening Fellowship, a 12-week intensive course of study at a British university for mid-career professionals.

 

Chevening Fellowships - 2010
 
Chevening is the Scholarship and Fellowship Programme funded by UK's Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO). Since the programme was established in 1983, it has provided over 32,000 Scholarships and Fellowships to students around the world allowing them to study at prestigious universities in the UK.

The Chevening Programme is made up of two distinct scheme: the Scholarships scheme and Fellowship scheme. The Fellowship scheme offers awards for study on 12-week courses that focus on particular subjects aligned to the FCO's Strategic Framework.
Fellowships are aimed at mid-career professionals with several years experience, who are in positions of leadership and influence (or in line for such positions), and who are active in the field of the Fellowship subject.

This year 14 Chevening Fellowship courses were announced in June 2009. The courses were:
