Ministerial Visits

The British Foreign Secretary, the Rt Hon David Miliband, arrived in Islamabad on 7th July 09 for a three day visit to Pakistan. This was the fifth visit of the British Foreign Secretary to Pakistan. Read more.


Th e British Prime Minister, Gordon Brown, visited Pakistan briefly on 17 April 2009. He held a joint press conference with his Pakistani counterpart, Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gillani. He also held meetings with President Asif Ali Zardari, and the leader of the Opposition party, Nawaz Sharif. Read more.


The UK’s Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government, Sadiq Khan MP, visited Pakistan from 6th to 8th April 2009.  This was the first ever visit by a British Muslim Minister of Pakistani origin.
